Born into a sailing family (my father and grandfather were builders of wooden sailboats and metallurgy craftsmen) I was exposed to years of boat building projects. At a very early age I learned the subtleties of stresses, design requirements, and how to handle yachts. Because my mentors encouraged single handing and engineering expertise, I enjoy time at sea alone. My priority has been to perfect, and become proficient in, all the skills necessary to operate and maintain shipboard systems: engineering, propulsion, sewage, navigation, communications, environmental and technical.

My work ethic is to achieve the highest quality in everything that I do.
